Catching up

We've had a busy past few days around here!

On Friday, I got to go out with my girls (Nancy, Sharon, Sabrina and Teresa) to eat dinner and watch a movie. The boys stayed at home and the guys in our "group" all gathered at our house for ka-bobs and basketball. It was all great fun! We went to see "Made of Honor" - very cute movie. Go see it with your "girls"!

Saturday was Caleb's last t-ball game. He had is a rather large fan club there....Mom, Daddy, Cole, MeeMaw, Roger, Nana and Aunt Sarah. They were all anxious to see Caleb's sliding skills. Of course, he didn't do it one single time. Figures. He did it every inning all season until Saturday. After the game, the league did a little trophy ceremony for them. It was very cute and Coach Mike had something special to say to each one of them as they got their trophies. Can't believe it is already over! Caleb is already asking me when swimming and golf lessons start! Here are a few pics from the day:

After we obtained a snow-cone for each boy, I strapped them in their seats, threw some money at their dad and ran quickly to my mom's car. Since Sarah was down for the weekend, we decided to celebrate Mother's Day a little early. We had massages (which was a new experience for Mom), ate lunch and enjoyed watching the chefs at Pei Wei, did a little "just because" shopping and then had dessert(s) at La Madeleine. Good times.

On Sunday, we had family field trip day with Stefan, Nancy and the girls to the Houston Zoo. It was a great day and I was so excited to see the baby elephant! The kids all did exceptionally well - we were there for over four hours! Needless to say, we were all pretty exhausted and/or asleep by the time we got home!

Finally, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo with fajitas and margaritas at Casa de Rodriguez (aka Stefan and Nancy's) last night. Fun! We love our friends!!!

I don't think that was Lu's first massage...I believe she and Sarah had foot massages in Beijing! ;-)

Sounds like a fun day. Karen and I tried to find a place to park Saturday at La Madeleine and there were none. So I didn't get a great dessert! I love to eat there and sit by the fireplace when it is burning. Did y'all find the $4.32 sale at Macy's? Queen of Great Sales

We missed a $4.32 sale??? How can that be?

And, yes, I forgot about Mom's foot massage, but this was her first massage that required significant disrobing. Definitely a different experience.

Yes,the significant disrobing does take some getting used to. I will not be taking the Queen of Great Sales to get a massage, when she had her foot massage in China she was under the impression that she needed to make conversation the entire time! Imagine that.... ;-)

Yes, Sarah and I had a foot massage in China, but as Kristi said this was a new experience because it did require removing some clothing items--but it was very relaxing! I appreciated the thoughtfulness of finding a new experience for our Mother Daughter day. Mom
